Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was a renowned scholar and literary figure of the subcontinent, a distinguished writer, politician and religious thinker. In the book under review, “Humanity at the Door of Death,” he has described the transience of human life and the last moments and words of various historical figures at the time of death—including the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), the Rightly Guided Caliphs and other glorious personalities—in a very impressive manner, which draws the reader towards preparation for the hereafter and the thought of action.
