Early Days | Creation and Early Prophets | Ibn Kathir

Early Days

Early Days is an extensive historical book published by Darussalam Publishers that presents a detailed Islamic account of the beginning of creation and the early Prophets. It is an abridged English translation of the classical Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah (“The Beginning and The End”) by Imam Ibn Kathir, a widely studied historian and Qur’anic scholars in Islamic history.

The book chronicles how the universe was created, the origin of angels, jinn, Satan, and human beings, and then follows the stories of early Prophets and their communities from Adam (A.S.) up to Yunus (A.S.), drawing from Qur’anic narratives, authentic reports, and classical scholarship. Beginning of creation: Begins with the creation of the Throne, kursi, the heavens and the earth, angels, jinn, and the story of Satan, placing readers in the earliest stages of existence as narrated in Islamic sources.

Stories of early Prophets: Covers Adam (A.S.), Sheeth (A.S.), Nooh (A.S.), Hood (A.S.), Salih (A.S.), Ibraheem (A.S.), Shu’aib (A.S.), Ayoob (A.S.), Dhul-Kifl (A.S.), the people of Yaseen (A.S.), and Yunus (A.S.), giving both narrative flow and reflective lessons.
