Mafhoom ul Furqan | Urdu Word by Word Quran Translation (Lafzi Tarjuma)

Mafhoom ul Furqan: The Urdu Word by Word Quran Translation Trusted by Pakistani Households

Mafhoom ul Furqan is one of the most widely respected lafzi (word-by-word) Urdu translations of the Holy Quran available in Pakistan today. Compiled by Hafiz Hunain Quddusi and rooted in the authoritative Urdu rendering of Maulana Mohammad Jonagarhi, this edition allows readers to understand the precise meaning of every Arabic word while preserving the natural flow of the verse.

Why Pakistani Readers Choose This Quran Translation

For generations, students of the Quran in Pakistan have had to choose between two imperfect options: a traditional Urdu translation that reads fluently but obscures the meaning of individual words, or a mechanical word-by-word rendering that is accurate but difficult to follow. Mafhoom ul Furqan resolves this tension with genuine scholarly care.

Hafiz Hunain Quddusi spent more than twelve months refining the translation, building on the trusted foundation of Maulana Jonagarhi's original work. What he has achieved is a Quran ka Urdu tarjuma that does not sacrifice readability for accuracy. Each Arabic word is paired with its precise Urdu equivalent, yet the surrounding text is structured so that the reader can follow the meaning in natural, flowing prose. The result serves both the student seeking vocabulary comprehension and the scholar seeking precision.

Since its first printing, Mafhoom ul Furqan has gone through three editions in just one year — a rare distinction that reflects genuine word-of-mouth among Quran students, madrasah teachers, and families across Pakistan. For readers who want to compare it against other respected Quran translations in Urdu, this title is consistently among the first recommended.
